Adaptec – AHAU2
There’s a lot of discussion here to this dilemma concerning Windows 7 and a driver for the Adaptec and I wanted to throw my two cents in just in case someone else finds this in a search for this problem. Thursday, July 8, 6: This option requires basic OS understanding.

Adaptec Aha u2 Ultra2 Scsi driver installation manager was reported as very satisfying by a large percentage of our reporters, so it is recommended to download and install.
According to aa-2940u2 description, the issue seems to be related to Windows 7.

Thursday, January 10, 4: Saturday, January 29, I have avaptec placed an order for an AHAAU adapter; we’ll see if this little hack works vists it arrives. You will get warnings about the driver being unsigned and that it may not work.
First thing I would do is look in device manager, the system kept adding the SCSI card I think as a drive controller, the wrong type of device and so cuasing the Code Folks, These cards are still supported under Vista and Vista x It then installed the driver okay and I am running just fine.
Can anyone force windows 7 X64 to accept Adaptec AHA SCSI card?

That would save a lot of time and effort aha-29440u2 everyone! The drivers got installed after adding the device as a legacy hardware from the device manager but it fails to start. Adaptec had 64 bit drivers for server and xp X64 and can run in viata mode using aic78xx.
